These are the journals Mrs. Donnelly has assigned beginning January 17th.

Remember to use COMPLETE sentences and PUNCTUATION! These are not bulleted lists or texts!

Jan. 17th: What does the following quote have to do with history? QUOTE: "The problem with internet quotes is that you can't always depend on their accuracy." - Abraham Lincoln, 1864 (Hint: look at the date!)

Jan 20th: NO JOURNAL. Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! (And Multicultural Week!)

Jan 21-27: NO JOURNAL. Review, other activities, test.

Jan 28: How will the interactive notebook help YOU learn? (Some classes decided not to do journal and instead discussed surveys.)

Jan 30: NO JOURNAL, Multiple Intelligences survey activity.

Jan 31: What did the Multiple Intelligences quiz tell you about your learning style? How will it help you learn?

Mar 4: Happy Mardi Gras! If you were ruler of the world, what things would you banish absolutely for all time (rain on weekends, eggplant, and so forth)?  Make a list of at least 3.  Use your imagination. Explain your reasoning for one.


March 5: If your pencil could talk, what would it say about you?


March 6-7: NO JOURNALS, end of trimester review and test.

March 10: NO SCHOOL.

March 11: NO JOURNAL - first day of trimester activities.

March 12: If you could make up your own report card, in what imaginary subjects would you get an A? Come up with 3 or more. For an example, my imaginary report card might read:
Drinking lots of coffee:  A+
Stepping on my kids’ Legos:  A
Knowledge of Harry Potter trivia: A

March 13: Is learning to read and write worth giving up all your worldly possessions? Why or why not?

April 24-25: What makes new ideas "dangerous?"

April 28: What has been your favorite lesson with Mrs. Donnelly? What's one piece of advice you can give her?
