The Fall of Rome Homework Assignment!

Today in class we did our first DBQ - a document based discovery on the fall of Rome.

Homework was assigned with this activity. It is worth 20 points and due Friday, Jan. 24.

One question that has been asked often: How do I reference the document when I don't have copies? To gain full points for this portion, all you need to do is refer to an example from the documents. Example:

How did barbarians influence the fall of Rome?

Answer example 1: The fall of Rome was influenced by the invasions of different barbarian tribes. Some of the tribes listed on the document map were Vandals,Visigoths, or Saxons.

Answer example 2: Rome's decline was caused in part by barbarian invasions. Because of the invasions, more money was needed to fund the armies which was a problem according to several documents.

For this first assignment, I will be pretty lenient about wording for answers. I do not expect you to name the document or cite your sources. Don't stress! As a reminder, I am always available in the classroom during lunch so if you need it, I'm here to help! We also had an MME (multimedia extravaganza) in class to talk about the fall of Rome in more detail.
