Interactive Notebooks

"The purpose of the interactive notebook is to enable students to be creative, independent thinkers and writers. Interactive notebooks are used for class notes as well as for other activities where the student will be asked to express his/her own ideas and process the information presented in class." Your notebook will…
Be a way to organize your notes
Will make class concepts easier to understand
Allow you to become more involved in class
BECOME A PERSONALIZED TEXTBOOK

What makes the Interactive Notebook different?

Many traditional notebooks have a tendency to get disorganized easily. Papers fall out and get lost. You throw them away only to realize you need them later. Notes can be boring or hard to understand. Many students do not take pride in their notebook and consequently do not use it to help them.
You interactive notebook will be your most valuable tool this year. Notes and New ideas will be presented in a clear manner that you will be able to use as your own personal “roadmap” to world history.
You will need the skills you learn by creating this notebook as you continue through high school and into college. The notebook will allow you to easily learn and engage with the history presented in class! While there are guidelines to follow and required items for the notebook, this is YOUR book. Personalize the cover (keep it clean!) and write yourself notes in the margin. Use the book to review and remember historical facts and figures. Use the book to be successful!
